Introducing jewellery from our very first guest maker, Tim! Tim lives in Edinburgh and makes these intricately woven keychains and other steel accessories in his spare time. We love them so much, we were sure we wanted to recruit Tim to our shop as a maker-in-residence!
This keychain was made with a very satisfying spiral weave. Tim uses mild steel for these keychains. Mild steel comes with greater malleability and ductility than stainless steel while being a little more likely to corrode if not used for a while. If you notice your keychain discolouring a bit, just give it a wash with a gentle soap and water and make sure to handle it more. Tim showed us a prototype he’s kept in his pocket for 6 years and it still looked good as new.
These items are made to order and sent using Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class. We’ll be launching more items from Tim in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled!
